UltrexSLE is a 12-strand premium HMPE rope purpose-built for the Electric Utility and Transmission Industry.
Manufactured in the USA from internationally sourced fiber, UltrexSLE delivers the exceptional strength and reliability of Ultrex with added dimensional precision for compatibility with standard stringing equipment. Its diameter and braid design are calibrated for smooth performance through industry-standard pullers, tensioners, and pilot line systems—reducing wear, improving safety, and ensuring consistent tension control. Lightweight for easy aerial deployment and featuring low stretch for precise sagging and line placement, UltrexSLE provides dependable handling and performance on every transmission job.

Designed for Electric Utility Work: Specifically developed to perform reliably with standard stringing equipment, such as pullers, tensioners, and pilot line systems used in overhead transmission construction.
Low Stretch For Controlled Tension: Ensures stable line placement with minimal load deformation, ideal for conductor pulling and sagging applications.
Fiber-Level Coating: Each strand of HMPE fiber is individually coated with Yale’s MaxiJacket urethane coating prior to braiding, adding significant durability to UltrexSLE.

Specs
* Knots and abrupt bends significantly reduce the strength of all ropes and lower the maximum working load.
** Working load is based on static or moderately dynamic lifting/pulling operations. Instantaneous changes in load, up or down, in excess of 10% of the rope’s rated working load constitute hazardous shock load and would void the normal working-load recommendation. Consult Yale Cordage for guidelines for working loads and the safe use of rope.
Dielectric Strength: The maximum allowable leakage for clean, dry UltrexSLE is 75 micro-amperes when tested at 100kV per Yale Method 712-1701 Rev 1 “Routine Production Test.” Absorbed and entrained moisture or impurities will increase rope’s conductivity dramatically.
